The Linen Garden

I loved coming home to be greeted by parcels waiting to be opened.
I placed a pretty little order from The Linen Garden last week and came home to see it waiting patiently for me today.

I hastily ripped open the outer packaging to find a beautifully wrapped parcel that was almost too pretty to open. Pastel tissue paper with floral washi tape, even a beautiful little note thanking me for my purchase all tied up in a pretty pink bow.

And here is what i bought....
Gorgeous vintage geometric floral fabric. I've never come across anything like this pattern so i had to snap it up before anyone else did even if i don't have a project in mind for it just yet.
Any suggestions what i should make with it?

I have known Vicky, the owner of The Linen Garden and general haberdashery queen for years. I was lucky enough to have her as my tutor in my first year at University where i studied Textiles & Surface Design.
Make sure you have a wander down the aisle of Vicky's virtual shop The Linen Garden  which is full to the brim of gorgeous antique haberdashery and vintage linens for crafters, makers, potterers and creative souls.

January SALE!

It's that time again, out with the old and in with the new.
To make room for new fantasticals...(that is a word now) to stock the shelves of my online shop i have added lots of items to the SALE section of my store.
And if that wasn't good enough i am also including a special free gift with every order placed up until midnight on Friday 11th of January.

These fabric pears are so cute. They can be used for decorating your kitchen or perhaps a more practical use as a pin cushion (they are stuffed with polyester stuffing)
They are in the sale at a bargain price £4.00 each.

What I have been up to

Here are a few snapshots of what i have been making over the past few weeks. Some commissions and some new stock ready for my summer fairs and a photoshoot I am taking part in with the lovely Katy from 'What Katy Did Next' and Sally from 'Sally Thurrell Photography'.

Two lovely commissioned wedding gifts i made this week.

Making up some more fabric love hearts and trying out some new little motto's and phrases.

Since everyone is going Jubilee mad it seems i thought i would join in and made some diddy little fabric union jack flags.

This was my Friday night spent sewing in front of the TV.
